At Urgent Staffing Ltd, we are firmly committed to upholding fundamental human rights and taking a strong stance against slavery and human trafficking. As a leading healthcare recruitment agency operating throughout the UK and internationally, we deliver temporary staffing solutions to the NHS, private organizations, and specialise in Social Care recruitment services within the UK.

Our Workforce and Supply Chains

With a team of 10-50 internal employees and over 10,000 temporary workers, we operate with a robust supply chain that includes 60 subcontractors listed as our preferred agency suppliers, particularly within our Healthcare services.

Policies Addressing Slavery & Human Trafficking

Urgent Staffing Ltd is dedicated to ensuring that no form of slavery or human trafficking exists within any aspect of our business or supply chains. This commitment is reflected in our comprehensive internal policies, which address working hours, rest periods, night shifts, annual leave, holiday pay, staff welfare, and the recruitment of temporary workers.

Due Diligence Processes for Slavery & Human Trafficking: Employees

We perform internal audits in accordance with our policies, addressing any non-conformances swiftly and informing the Directors as required. Importantly, no non-conformities were recorded in the previous financial year, and all policies have been reviewed to align with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Due Diligence Processes for Slavery & Human Trafficking: Suppliers

Our suppliers are required to adhere to our policies on slavery and human trafficking, with this requirement clearly stated in the service level agreements we enter into. Annual audits are carried out by our internal audit managers to ensure supplier compliance.

Risk Assessment

New processes undergo thorough risk assessments that are documented in a risk register, which is reviewed and maintained by Urgent Staffing Ltd’s Executive team.

Measurement of Effectiveness

We are committed to continually improving our adherence to the Modern Slavery Act, regularly reviewing our processes to enhance their effectiveness. Our HR team meticulously records and evaluates the effectiveness of these processes, identifying areas for improvement each year.

Training for Staff

Our employees are required to comply with all legal obligations and internal policies. The internal employee handbook provides clear guidance on the steps to take if a case of modern slavery is identified and outlines the appropriate contacts for reporting such incidents.

This statement is made in compliance with the Transparency Provision of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, Section 54(1), and constitutes Urgent Staffing Ltd’s Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement for the financial year ending 31st March 2025.
